About

The Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC) was founded in 1985 to improve the K-12 teaching and learning of science for all students. The National Science Education Leadership Development Forum began as a way to bring interested parties together to focus on a single promising topic in science education. To learn more about this program and other opportunities offered by the Smithsonian Science Education Center, please contact Katie Gainsback at gainsbackk@si.edu or by phone at (202) 633-2960.

The 2014 Forum will be held July 26, 2014 at The Westin in Alexandria, VA just outside of Washington, DC. All are welcome to attend the Forum. Past attendees included science educators, district administrators, science coordinators, science teachers, university faculty, university students, and museum educators and staff.
